We, HINODE Electric Co. Ltd., began manufacturing and selling fast acting fuses in 1974.

As of today, we are producing and supplying 23series/500types of fuses with different ratings for
the circuit protection of semiconductor devices, inverters, UPS, power sources, and so on to our
domestic and overseas customers.

We have been positively received in the market, and the reputation of our products has been growing.
We have been able to sell in excess of 10 million pieces to date including products with special
specifications, and we believe this illustrates the continuing high quality of our products.

Company history

Apr,1946 Isao Hirahara set up Hinode Electric Co., a non-incorporated organization, and started to manufacture fuses.
Apr,1951 The company was approved as a licensed company to manufacture electric parts/appliances.
Oct,1955 Hinode Electric Mfg. Co. was incorporated with the capital of 5 million JPY with Isao Hirahara as president.
Apr,1974 The company started production and sale of fast acting fuses.
Oct,1975 Celebrated 20th anniversary of the founding.
Dec,1976 Established a business partnership with Kyosan Mfg. Co., Ltd.
Oct,1985 Celebrated 30th anniversary of the founding.
Nov,1986 Shigeyoshi Hirahara became president.
Oct,1987 Hinode Electric Co., Ltd's capital increased to 20 million JPY.
July,1990 The factory was relocated to Adachi-ku from Sumida-ku.
Mar,1991 Hinode's semiconductor 250v-1000v protect fuses received the UL quality seal and approval.
Oct,1991 Hinode Electric Co., Ltd's capital increased to 30 million JPY.
Oct,1994 Celebrated 40th anniversary of the founding.
Jan,1997 In conjunction with Kyosan Mfg., Hinode became an approved German TUV standerd factory.
Oct,1998 Received UL authorization and approval for semiconductor 1500V protect fuses.
Nov,1999 Set up breaking-capacity tests facilities (10KV-100KA) at Saitama University.
Sep,2001 Kazuhiro Hirahara became president.
Oct,2001 Received ISO9001:1994 approval.
Aug,2004 Received China Compulsory Certification.
Oct,2004 Celebrated 50th anniversary of the founding.
Sep,2006 Production of EV Fuses reached 500,000
Jun,2008 Production of EV Fuses reached 1,000,000

The company is about 15 minutes walk from TAKENOTSUKA Station.
◎By bus:
From TAKENOTSUKA Station (Tobu Isezaki Line):
take the east exit, take Tobu Bus No. 24 (which terminates at AYASE station) or No.15 (which terminates at HANAHATA-DANCHI), and get off at HOKIMA NAKA-DORI. (This takes about 5 minutes) The company is about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop.

◎From ROKUCHO Station (Tsukuba Express Line):
take Tobu Bus No. 17 (which terminates at TAKENOTUSKA station) and get off at HOKIMA 1-CHOME. (This takes about 15 minutes)  The company is about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop.
